What Is Arcticlyn
Aurora Alerts?

5 min read B2B Guide By Arcticlyn

Your guests are missing the aurora.
Every night.

It's 2am. The Kp index hits 5. The sky above your property is alive with green and violet. Your guests, asleep with their phones on silent, miss every second of it. They wake up the next morning and check the internet — and see photos of exactly what happened outside their window while they slept.

This is the problem Arcticlyn solves. Aurora Alerts is an infrastructure layer that connects your hotel to your guests' phones — so when the lights appear, you can wake them up, breaking through Do Not Disturb and Sleep.

Aurora alert infrastructure
for aurora-zone hotels

Arcticlyn Aurora Alerts is not a consumer app with a hotel add-on. It was built from day one as hotel infrastructure — a system designed around the operational reality of a property that wants to deliver an exceptional aurora experience to every guest, every night the conditions are right.

At its core, it is a one-tap alert system. Your staff monitors conditions. When the aurora is visible, they press a button. Every guest who connected to your property via the Arcticlyn app receives an immediate notification — not a quiet banner, but a Time Sensitive alert that arrives even when the phone is on Do Not Disturb.

The result: your hotel becomes the hero. Not luck. Not a guest who happened to be awake. Your hotel, actively delivering the moment your guests came for.

"The hotel that wakes you up for the aurora is the hotel you remember for the rest of your life."

— Arcticlyn Product Philosophy
About notifications: Arcticlyn uses Time Sensitive notifications — a high-priority alert level on iOS that can break through Do Not Disturb when the user has allowed it. Guests accept notification permissions during onboarding. Delivery is high but not 100% guaranteed — it depends on the guest's device settings.

Two interfaces,
one seamless system.

The hotel dashboard puts your staff in full control. The guest app delivers the moment directly to every guest's phone — linked, notified, and ready before the aurora peaks.
